BALITE FALLS in Amadeo, Cavite

A long weekend finally arrived and I've been thinking of doing something fun, scenic, relaxing and closer to home.  One thing came to my mind and fits all the things on my list, that is BALITE FALLS!

Aside from their famous Amadeo Coffee, the town of Amadeo, Cavite is where you can find Balite Falls. A spot in the province of Cavite that is not be missed. Before, it was said that the falls were closed to the public. But now, the resort is open 7 days a week which is great!

With an ENTRANCE FEE  of PHP75.00, you can enjoy the clear waters and the lush green landscape of the Balite Falls.

Cottages are available for rent from Php 300.00 - Php 500.00. They have no overnight accommodation however, if you come in big groups they have a big room good for 60 pax that you can rent and the price ranges from Php 1000.00 Php 3000.00.

I visited the Balite Falls years ago during the Holy Week, and I was overwhelmed by the number of people. I promised to myself that I would visit the place again in the future when it's not too busy. And finally, I got the chance of doing just that.

Thank God for the long weekend during the Papal Visit in the Philippines because it gave me the opportunity to visit the place again.

And when we arrived at the Balite Falls, we were overjoyed to see it was less crowded. Just what I've been wanting to see!

They have small lagoons for everyone who chooses to just relax and enjoy the day.

The falls aren't that high which make it a popular jumping spot for most visitors, including myself.  If you are swimming with your children, please keep a watchful eye on them as some parts, specially if you go closer to the falls, are 18 feet deep.

Water gushing out from these bamboo poles was so nice specially if you have aching shoulders and backs. They can give you a great back and shoulder massage, guaranteed!

The water is also very clean thinking it's only an hour or two away from Manila.

This side of the resort is pretty shallow which is perfect for kids and to those who can't swim. Adult supervision is still required although they have a life guard on duty.

If you love photography, this place is highly recommended to capture the best moments of your life.

I am not sure if camping is allowed, but if you plan on going on a nature trip with families and friends, BALITE FALLS is a must!

How to get to Balite Falls:
(Using GPS or Google Map Navigation on your Phone is highly recommended)

2. Take a jeepney going to Manggahan ,General Trias via Governor's Drive.

    1. Not exactly sure about Wingate but as long as you take a jeepney going to Amadeo from Tagaytay and to General Trias , definitely the driver can tell you where it is. It is about 100 meters walk from the highway.
