Another great and successful event that took place this year was the ReRun for Sustainability. Held last 10th of August 2014 at Blue Bay walk, Macapagal Avenue, Pasay, the run aimed to inspire environmental action like Reuse, Reduce and Recycle 3R's among Filipinos and to raise awareness about climate change.
We arrived at the venue at around 3:00 am. It was quite exciting since I was joined by so many friends from different running communities.
The Blue Bay Walk for me was a fresh location for running events.
I felt like it was a good spot and I'm sure more events will take place here.
The Quanta Paper Corporation who produces hygienic tissues and personal care products thought about this event carefully as the turn out was quite overwhelming.
Having the same registration fee of 250.00 in all categories was also something new. I felt runners nowadays are more aware of the registration fees being so expensive. For a 12 km at this price, there were no complaints!
This event also had given me the chance to meet friends and to get together again for the love of running and now for the love of our environment.
We also had a chance to have a picture taken with the
Fabulous Running Divas.
The program before the run went very smoothly. I liked that they played the Philippine National Anthem which I think other events should be doing as well.
A few minutes before the gun start and our adrenaline were just pumping.
There were lots of runners on the road, I wonder if they reached over 5000 runners?
I wouldn't be surprise if they did.
On the last 4 km, 12 km runners merged along with other lower categories.
They may not have any finishers' medal but they were very generous in their loot bags.
For 250.00, it's all worth it!
Free Pocari Sweat drink were given to all the finishers.
They were also part of the hydration stations along with Maynilad.
Everybody was very happy. All smiles everywhere. Everybody was just having a great time!
Oh, the weather was also overcast which was ideal for running!
Aside from the run, Zumba dance was there to entertain all the runners. It was fun!
I made a pledge to Love Nature and Live Life to the fullest.
Most of the booths by different sponsors at the
event area started off with games like this.
No Finisher's Medal
Not many photographers

This was just from a runners perspective.
